Hello there. Welcome to Entrepreneurial Goddess and the 6th post in my series entitled "Off On My Tangent!"

The scene of this world is changing (1 Corinthians 7:29-31*). Whose approval do you seek? Is it the admiration of men whose empty promises and moral standards change like the shifting winds (Psalms 146:3, 4*) or are you looking to the One who created all things and even gave you life, Jehovah God?(Hebrews 3:4*)

Where is your heart? Is it focused on the pursuit of material possessions that can be stolen, turn rusty, be consumed by moths or just plain lost when the economy turns bad or is it focused on the heavens and God's Kingdom? Jehovah God truly cares about you and is interested only in your devotion to Him, not in how much money you have stashed away in the bank or hidden in your secret chest. As the reader of hearts, He knows that your heart is where your treasure is (Luke 12:34*).

Satan does not want us to worship God or seek His approval and does everything in his power to get us to turn away from God. As the ruler of this world (1 John 5:19*), Satan uses subtle methods to deceive us and corrupt the desires of our hearts. Just look at how easy it was for him to deceive Eve who prior to disobeying Jehovah was perfect and had everything she could ever want! You need to be on your guard.

In this current system, we all need a certain amount of money and a measure of material goods to function, but placing an over-emphasis on such things can be damaging not only to us but also to our relationship with Jehovah. Stop seeking the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes, for in so doing, you are falling right into Satan's traps (1 Timothy 6:9, 10*). To gain God's favour and remain there, you want to love what Jehovah loves and hate what He hates (Psalms 97:10*). "Strip off the old personality" and clothe yourself with "the new personality" (Ephesians 4:29, 31-32*). The scene of this world is changing (1 Corinthians 7:31*). For the "real life", seek Jehovah God and His Kingdom first and all other things will be given to you (1 John 2:15-17*).
